I am a malay girl who celabrates hari raya puasa.According to the 'Hijrah'celander,Hari Raya puasa falls on the first day of the 10th month of syawal.A month before Hari Raya Puasa,we must fast from sunrise till the sunset.Usually before we eat our food we have to eat a fruit called 'Buah Korma.'It is a fruit which taste sweet. This month is also known as the Ramadan. The month of Ramadan is the time to do more good deeds. It is also a time to seek forgiveness to those we had hunt all this while.During the month of ramadan we usually buy alot of things.For example: new curtain,new colour of the wall,new clothes and new furniture.Our mother usually bakes cookies or they will buy them.Some of the cookies such as pineapple tarts.But my favorite one is the "kuih makmur".It is in the shape of a leaf.And when Hari Raya Puasa comes by, the first thing that we do in the morning is to seek forgiveness.And after that we will go to the mosque to pray.After that we can enjoy ourselves. We will go to our relatives house and eat their foods and when we are about to go home, they will give us green packets which usually contain money. Then our parents will give their children some green packets.
